12:30pm: soup is served
What happens when you ask more than 50 of Vancouver's top chefs to each bring one ingredient and toss it into a boiling pot? Good question - and with this hot experiment, we're going to find out, again!
On January 20, more than 50 participating chefs will supply an ingredient to add to the soup collective. Over the next couple of hours, student chefs from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts will chop, season, stir and cook the ingredients to perfection, then serve samples to the public.
Soup is provided by donation, with 100% of proceeds going to help kids access nutritious food and lifelong knowledge about how to eat well and be healthy through United Way's Stop the Growl initiative.
Join the United Way crew at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts from 12:30pm onward to snag your own portion of this once-in-a-year brew! Everyone is welcome - but get there early, since the kitchen shuts down when the soup runs out. Don't miss out!
