Whisky - Gaelic for the "water of life"

Immerse yourself in the art of malt in this night of "whisky" business. Start with a private cocktail class and reception in the clandestine Speakeasy at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and learn how to make cocktails with a roll of the dice from the whisky cart. With one dice for whisky, another for syrup and the third for bitters, there are 216 distinctly different takes on the classic Old Fashioned.

Follow with a multi-course whisky themed dinner, specially created by restaurant chef Will Lew, to highlight the flavour profiles with maple rye smoked salmon, bourbon lacquered pork belly, a decadent dessert with Canadian whisky infused ice cream, and finishing with a Scotch, cheese and chocolate pairing.

Take the elevator home (we wouldn't have it any other way!) to the Fairmont Gold; hotel within a hotel, it offers luxurious personalized service with concierge, private check in and an exclusive lounge where complimentary breakfast is served in the morning.

What happens after that is up to you! There will be a special nightcap waiting for you, along with a gift to commemorate your evening of mastering the malt.

After learning from our own culinary master, students become judge as they sip and savor a private (and personally curated) lunch. This experience starts at $649 for two guests.
