Dine Out 2018 has a Signature Cocktail by Lauren Mote!
We are excited to announce that “The Whisked Away” is Dine Out Vancouver Festival 2018’s signature cocktail! The cocktail was created by mixologist and sommelier Lauren Mote, in partnership with Dine Out Vancouver Festival and Aeroplan.
Lauren is one of Vancouver (and the world’s) top bartenders. You may have met her behind the oak at many of Vancouver’s most revered cocktail bars. Or know her as the co-founder of Bittered Sling Bitters.
But in the industry, Lauren is also known as the DIAGEO Reserve & World Class Global Cocktailian. Lauren is the figurehead for the World Class global educational platform and bartender competition, in addition to Diageo Reserve luxury portfolio's ambassador.
The Whisked Away is a whiskey-based drink featuring Aperol, Amontillado, Lemon Juice, Bittered Sling cherry bitters and finished off with ginger beer. Taste The Whisked Away for yourself at one of these restaurants during Dine Out Vancouver:

Dine Out Vancouver Festival 2018 Signature Cocktail: The Whisked Away
Ingredients & Recipe:
1.50 oz Bulleit Rye Whiskey
0.50 oz Aperol
0.50 oz Amontillado Sherry
0.75 oz Lemon Juice
0.75 oz Simple Syrup (1:1)
2 dashes Bittered Sling Suius Cherry Bitters
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain over fresh ice in a Collins glass, top with ginger beer, and garnish with a trimmed orange peel.
