Murder is a Drag returns to Dine Out with a brand new show!
Don't miss this one-of-a-kind mystery dining experience only available in Vancouver – a musical murder mystery show with clues, puzzles, prizes and drag performances.
It's the debut of a brand new mystery, Murder is a Drag: Killer Birthday. It's going to be a Killer Birthday party and you're invited! Put on your party dress, invite your special birthday pals, and get ready for another fun & fast-paced musical murder mystery. Can you spot the clues and catch the killer?
Each ticket includes a seat for the performance and a charcuterie casket (yes casket, not basket!) from our favourite creepy culinarians - the Black Casket Cafe. Vegan, gluten-free and plant-based variations available. You'll also have the option to add-on a dessert.
How it Works - Guests get to choose if they want to participate or just sit back and watch the mystery unfold. Participation is always optional (we always have a few fun roles for guests -if you do want to participate get there early).
There are three Thursday evening shows (doors at 7PM show at 8PM) and three Sunday day shows (doors at 11AM show 12PM) during Dine Out. Murder is a Drag is an action-packed and hilarious 90 minutes with 2 intermissions. Guests also have an opportunity to meet the cast after the show and take photos with the cast (they also appreciate tips!).
Location - The venue, KW Studios, is located inside the historic Woodwards building at 111 West Hastings, only a 5 minute walk from the Gastown Steam Clock. KW Studios is run by a non-profit and the rental fees we pay help them support low-income, non-profit, Indigenous and DTES artists.
Your pre-orders from Black Casket Cafe will be there when you arrive. Note: There is no kitchen on the premises.
The venue is 19+. The bar will be open and the DJ will be playing fun party music when the doors open one hour before show time. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase.
