    We are going global again! We’ve reached out to our friends in the global culinary community and have invited them to Vancouver.  The result? Five of the world’s culinary best join us for a series of delicious collaborations with our own city’s top talent.

    Join Westin Bayshore Executive Chef Kamal Silva in welcoming Chef Jiuxin Fan from the Westin Beijing for this asia-pacific inspired collaboration.  Set in HJU:Z lounge, the Westin Bayshore’s newest dining establishment, this dinner will showcase both chefs experiences in having traveled and holding Executive Chef positions in 5-star hotels around the world.

    * All Inclusive - includes multi-course dinner, beverage pairings, tax, gratuity and ticketing fees.

    About Chef Kamal Silva
    With 22 years of extensive culinary experience in some of the most renowned kitchens in the world, Chef Kamal brings a diverse blend of multicultural flavours to our urban resort. His passion for food and cooking began in his native Sri Lanka, and he went on to study culinary arts at Asia Lanka Vacation Education School where he developed his own style and flair.

    Chef Kamal has had a vast culinary career working in various five stars hotels worldwide, from the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates and here in Canada. He spent 12 years working with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in both Sous Chef and Executive Chef positions at The Fairmont Dubai, Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Fairmont Vancouver Airport and The Fairmont Empress. Most recently he was the Director of Food & Beverage at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa in Singapore.

    About Chef Jiuxin Fan
    With 25 years of extensive culinary experience in some of the most renowned kitchens in China, Chef Jiuxin brings his knowledge of Chinese and Cantonese cuisines to The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver on January 30. Chef Jiuxin is passionate about creating nourishing, healthful dishes, which he does both on the job at The Westin Beijing and in his own kitchen.

    As Executive Chinese Chef, Chef Jiuxin is responsible for handling daily restaurant and banquet function operations. He looks forward to creating dishes that infuse flavours unique to Beijing during an unforgettable evening.
