    Join Salmon N' Bannock's all-Indigenous team in welcoming Alqonquin Anishnabe Chef Cezin Nottaway from Ottawa.

    Our 6th annual Vancouver World Chef Exchange! We’ve reached out to our friends in the culinary community and have invited them to Vancouver. The result? Canada's Indigenous culinary best join us for a series of delicious dinners inspired by traditions, by the land, and by the sea.

    About Chef Marie-Cecile (Cezin) Nottaway

    Cezin Nottaway is Alqonquin Anishnabe from Rapid Lake, Quebec. After 9 successful years of business, she retired her 5-time award-winning catering company. Her journey includes a feature in the New York Times, BESIDE magazine, and the 2019 Globe & Mail list of the Next Top Chefs in Canada. She has hosted two episodes of Award-Winning docu-series Red Chef Revival and Co-hosted an episode of Chuck and the First People’s kitchen.

    Cezin nottaway is a board member of a new nonprofit organization, Indigenous Culinary of Associated Nations. Since retiring the catering business, Cezin’s next endeavour includes land-based workshops/facilitations which allow her to continue in following her kokom’s steps. 

    About the Salmon n' Bannock Team, Vancouver

    Salmon n’ Bannock Bistro is Vancouver's only First Nations restaurant. They specialize in wild fish, free-range game meat, and of course bannock, freshly baked daily. They use traditional ingredients that are prepared and presented in a modern way. 

    Our current staff proudly represent the following First Nations: Squamish, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Long Plain, Muscoday, St’at’lmc Nation, Nuxalk, Ojibway, Ts’msyen, Nuu chah nulth
