Gringo restaurants opened its first location in Gastown’s Blood Alley (Vancouver BC) back in 2013 & has been slingin’ tacos & good times ever since. WTF is Gringo?! Think ‘white-trash cantina’ meets ‘all-inclusive resort’ where good people can come together and enjoy themselves under the warming glow of neon lights and sing along to classic 80’s & 90’s jams, all while scarfing down delicious tacos and sucking back cold beers. Where most restaurants & bars out there are all about using tweezers to place food on plates or some obscure unpronounceable liqueur from who knows where in a cocktail, Gringo likes to K.I.S.S (keep it super simple). From the tongue-in-cheek twists on its classic Mexi-Cali food menu to straight-up brown-baggin’ it and beach bucket bar options. Gringo was founded on the desire to reconnect to that genuine sense of community within every city and neighbourhood. That’s why when you walk through Gringo’s doors you’re welcomed like an actual person and we introduce ourselves because we take names not seat numbers. There’s no automated kiosk or self-serve checkout here. Just good vibes for great people. So, you’re a big hotshot movie star? An elite superstar athlete? A dishwasher at the fast food joint around the corner? That’s cool. There’s no secret password or exclusive VIP line. Because at Gringo everyone is appreciated for the amazing person that they are not where they work or how much money they have in their wallet!
