The renowned VanDusen Botanical Garden is a must see for visitors to Vancouver and residents alike.
Restaurant owners Chris Chatten and Amandah Delain named the restaurant after two Vancouver landmarks - the old golf course that was on the VanDusen Botanical Garden site in the 40s and 50s, and the surrounding neighbourhood, Shaughnessy. The restaurant appropriately reflects the tradition and distinction of both areas during that era.
The menu, created by Chef Sean Sloan, perfectly complements the surroundings - innovative, contemporary, and West Coast. Only the highest quality local ingredients are selected to serve - many of the organic vegetables come from the Garden itself. Changing with the seasons, the menu reflects the fresh produce, meats and fish plentiful at that time. Special group menus are available and can be created for the unique needs of any group or event.
